WARNING: Senate EPW Hearing- HR669/S373 Reptile Ban!
The Senate Committee on the Environment & Public Works (EPW) is planning a hearing for the 8th of July following the holiday break. The Committee Chair is Senator Barbara Boxer (D) of California. You guys must check out this bug that finds itself in a salmon's mouth by going in through its gills, and eventually actually replaces the fish's tongue with itself. It is absolutely astonishing and creepy.

There was a news item two days ago on KiroTV about a fire in a place called Kirkland, I think in New York? at a house where it turned out that there were 200 reptiles being kept in the house, and lots of drama about getting them out safely...I think some of them were lost in the fire. One of the family members hurt his hand breaking glass to get in to try and rescue them. Any of you guys live nearby and know any more?

New bill that could ban indoor and outdoor reptile shows as well as make it illegal to sell or deliver any animal(s) anywhere other than private property.
I just found out about this and it's happening today.
