The two parts of the reel includes the reel seat where the actual reel sits, and the reel seat lock that keeps the reel where it belongs.

The grip or cork part of the fly fishing rods is where the fisherman will hold the rod. There are a variety of grip styles to choose from and you will choose based on the grip that you feel most comfortable with. Fly rods will be your most important tool, so choose wisely.
