I have read of many trout fishing tips. Many of them tell us about the trout fishing basics like finding the best location, knowing the trout behavior and characteristics and stuff. Others tell us of the right equipment or how to repair them. There are also those that offer tips for every location. I haven’t encountered one that tells stories about trout fishing experiences per season. Trout fishing schedule is provided for this kind of need.

When is the best time to fish for trout? Many anglers have asked this question time and time again but are still confused about the answer. This is because people have different preferences and equipment. What works for another angler may not work for another one. To help you decide on this, I will share with you some trout fishing tips for summer and spring.

I personally think that spring is the best time to fish for trout. The reason for this is that I believe that spring symbolizes a brand new start. This is when everything (be it plants or animals) start over after winter. During spring time, both veteran and fishing newbies come together to compare fishing strategies. This is great because you can use and learn just about any fishing technique during this season. The technique you should employ during spring is to travel far from the rich food source. You will surely get a catch if you do this. Oh and don’t forget to use your waders when you fish as this is very helpful. Another thing you can go is to go trolling in shallow waters. Use your canoe for this. Or if you want things to be easier for you, you can use the motor boat but don’t speed up. About one mile per hour is enough. Troll like you are forming long S to make your bait realistic. Let your bait sink every five minutes or so.

For summer, use your light equipment and gears. Summer has proved to be difficult for some because we use down riggers and long wire line. Those equipments are recommended by many. However popular or widely chosen they may be, please don’t use them during this time. Again, do not use this heavy equipment as it will only work to your disadvantage.

Trout fishing schedule is always important to follow. The tips for spring and summer in this post will only do so much but it is better if you fish on a season that you are most comfortable with or accustomed to. Anyway, fishing is enjoyable regardless of the season if you have the right equipment or gears with you. There are always different challenges that we face in every season but the key to successful fishing is to having the right equipment. Always remember that in trout fishing, smaller is always better. Think small and light – small lures and baits, light rods and lines. Do not overkill your gears. Remember small tantamount to getting more catch. Fishing techniques won’t hurt as well. So what are you doing right now? Go out there and get a catch.

Good luck!
