I Live On A Lake In The Midwest And I Need Some Help On Fishing In The Winter-Spring!?
I live on a lake in the midwest an my anxiety for fishing right now is incredibly high. So I want to fish this cove off a dock on my lake. The whole lake is frozen except for this cove because it has a bubbler to leave me a big enough pot of water to fish. The cove only gets to about 25-30 feet deep. It has some fallen trees and white rocks around the edge of the cove (Idk if that helps). Also this lake is a sand bottom lake. My main concern is what will help me catch fish!? I have a rod an reel but what tackle should I use? I need some real help from the pros. And is there any technique I should use when fishing with this tackle and what time of day should I go out? I really don’t care what I catch in my lake. I have bass, walleye, crappie, catfish, carp, bluegill, and perch. I just want to fish but I want to have an idea of how to fish in this conditions before I attempt it. Please I need your guys help!!! Thank You!!!!
since its just sand, i would put a nightcrawler or minnow on the bottom and fish for catfish, bass and walleye. the walleye should be spawning soon, so dont be afraid to go in the evening or at night. fishing shallow (3-6ft) isnt a bad idea either. epsecially on a warm afternoon. now is the time. only one way to quell that anxiety. go fishin!
